One of the biggest Easter events outside of the city is the Fairfield Easter Fair held at Fairfield Showground. It's also the cheapest with entry at only $2 per person and it has all the excitement you need and want with attractions, entertainment and shows, an Easter egg hunt, free movie nights and more.

It wouldn't be a carnival without amusement rides galore, games and a sideshow alley. They're synonymous with fun and here they include dodgems, zorb balls to roll around in, a flying car ride, King of the Mountain, Freestyle 180, Groovy Bus, Paw Patrol and Nemo inflatables, the Fun House Maze and Wild One Obstacle, for starters. Unlimited ride wristbands are the best way to get your money's worth and they're available online for $25 or $30 at the gate. On Heroes Day, Thurs the 14th, all emergency services and first responders will get a free unlimited ride wristband to say thank you for the tough years we've had of late.

Win prizes in Sideshow Alley with the Big Time Baller machine, the laughing clowns and more, and don't forget the showbags which include everything from Spiderman to Minecraft, Jurassic World, Ghostbusters, Space Jam, Frozen II, The Little Mermaid and Baby Shark to the sports-related bags and the popular confectionery delights.

There's plenty of other entertainment and shows to keep you enthralled too. The Australian Mountain Boarders are putting on 7 huge shows a day as well as a kids workshop, whilst daredevil performances (2 shows daily) on the sky-high Ring of Steel will leave you in awe and Little Big Rigs Sydney will have truck and machinery fans marvelling at their miniature scale replicas.

Chomper the T-Rex is back for the dinosaur fans and reptile man is coming with his slithering snake shows, whilst an animal nursery brings the cute factor with ponies, alpacas, rabbits, chickens and other lovable farm animals.

Children will also enjoy the huge Easter egg hunt and the Easter bunny, the colourful stilt walkers roaming around, bubble man and the living statue. Free movie nights see screenings (from 6pm) of Tom & Jerry on Sun the 17th, Paw Patrol on Mon the 18th and Clifford the Big Red Dog on Tues the 19th.

Food trucks on hand to satisfy your hunger pains include Brisket Boys, Neon Burgers, Yee Haw Chicken, Tijuana Taco, Dutch Pancakes and Bar Coco with coffee and ice cream treats. Favourites like fairy floss, fries, popcorn and hotdogs are also at one's fingertips.

Rounding off each night is a fireworks display lighting up the sky at 8.30pm.

With free parking and low cost entry, you can't go past the value at this fair where you'll save a lot more than at other similar Easter carnivals.
