If a weekend-long extravaganza of music, theatre performances and films by local artists is your idea of a weekend well spent, then the Fairfield Arts Festival is for you.



Celebrating artistic exuberance presented by the Powerhouse Youth Theatre, the festival starts at 4pm on Friday, 12th April and runs until Sunday, 14th April, and will showcase the best artists in Western Sydney's Fairfield.

Live music starts the festival on the Friday with tunes played at Thomas Ware Plaza over the duration of the weekend, with acts including vocal group Triple Clef, Angharad Yeo, Arda Barut, Collin Gosper, delightful 8-piece multicultural band Blue Mary and a performance from the Afro Contemporary Youth Dance group.

As well as musical performances, the festival will also showcase the Fairfield School of Arts, at The PlayFest (19 Harris St Fairfield) for a two night season on Friday 12th April at 7pm and Saturday13th April at 2pm. Check out performances from Ana Nguyen, new theatre company Mon Sans Productions and the Powerhouse Youth Theatre Ensemble.

To round off the weekend, Shortcuts, Fairfield's own short film festival, will also be a part of the festival, with shorts from their collection shown on 13th April at 7pm.

This festival is a great opportunity to check out local Sydney talent and engage in Western Sydney's diversity.
