Fri 26 Apr 2019 - Sun 28 Apr 2019

It is almost time for the great Fairbridge Festival, where you can spend a weekend away from Perth or if you live Mandurah way, drop into this festival each day.

This year will be the 27th annual event, which is quite an achievement! always has heaps of music and dance acts as well as interesting workshops, market stalls and activities for the whole family.

At this festival, you will be able to see a program of some of the best folk, world and roots music. Set in idyllic surroundings, where there are no cars, the camping grounds will make it all the more fun for families. You could easily spend three days seeing different things and hearing different performers.

This year, it will be on from 26th to 28th April 2019 from 10 am. For those of you who have not been here before, Fairbridge is located at Fairbridge Road, Pinjarra, just a short drive from the town of Pinjarra.

This year, there will be some artists who have performed at Fairbridge before, as well as some new ones, who will all bring sheer magic to this wonderful festival.

From the UK comes the incomparable Rory McLeod, the one-man soul band. Rory is a poet and story-teller, who sings 20's and 30's jazz and blues songs.

Everyone will be splitting their sides laughing at the wonderful Martin Pearson, a comedian and cabaret performer who mixes satire and charming songs.

Or how about a renowned shanty group, Kimber's Men - who will perform "salty and salubrious songs of the sea."

You can watch two sisters and two stories, which are hilariously intertwined with the sweetest of songs and they are the Little Stevies. They will perform at shows with their own set of popular songs about everyday life and a special children's show called Teeny Tiny Stevies. This show landed them an ABC music deal and has now been regularly seen on ABC Kids.

Or there will be the fabulous John the Sandman and his Sandscript Machine. John is an engineer who loves performing and has great wit with words in beautiful sand letters around the festival site.

Don't forget to mark your diaries and phones, so you do not miss this event. Tickets are on sale at this site.
