This event is staged by the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras and this year will mark the 41st annual Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.
As part of this great and popular event, there will be a Fair Day which will be a fabulous day of fun and adventure. At this event, you will be able to chill and bring a picnic spread, or you will be able to buy your food if you do not want to go to the trouble of making something. This will be the most colourful event of the opening weekend of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras 2019.
This will be a family friendly event with many children in attendance. There will be large crowds, it will be a nice long day and hot weather which will probably make you pleasantly tired! Make sure you drink plenty of water, eat food and wear sunscreen at all times. The Mardi Gras Volunteers will be wearing purple shirts on the day and they can help with anything to make your day enjoyable.
There will be community stalls for you to shop at or you can even get energetic and have a dance. Fair Day 2019 will include some fabulous rising LGBTQI music talent, who are reshaping the arts and culture scene as well as breaking new ground.
The fair will be held on 17th February 2019, from 10.00 am to 9.00 pm, so you have the whole day to revel and have fun! It will be held at Victoria Park, 1001 City Road, Camperdown.
At the ANZ main stage, there will be a mixture of queer trailblazers including Mojo Juju and Electric Fields. As well as this, there will be games in the Sports Village and many gourmet food trucks.
There will also be Doggywood, where you can watch gorgeous pups from across Sydney lapping up the attention. And there will be so much more for everyone to do at this fair! Whatever your age or sexual persuasion, this fair day is a must-attend event that will bring so many people together.
