Once a year we head out to Fagan Park - Spring and Cherry Blossom time are particularly good. If you live in the area, you'll be more than familiar with this spectacular park. If you don't, let me tell you, it's well worth the drive.

Of course, it has a state of the art playground (plus a less busy older playground down the near the bushland), as well as a historic homestead and eco garden. There's even a kiosk for a civilised coffee reward as you wait in line for the flying fox!

There are sheltered BBQs (though book on the weekend, as very popular for large groups and parties) and even bushland for short bushwalks, easy enough for a toddler (and the parent chasing them).

The highlight of this park for us, is the Garden of Many Nations, set on 10 hectares. Over this sprawling expanse, you take a trip around the world.

The kids love exploring the pathways and buildings of each country, and plenty of hide and seek and chasing along the way.

So grab a picnic, bikes, scooters or even a kite and spend the day exploring the many different facets of this exceptional park.
