"Fabulously Pink", a fashion evening hosted by the Sri Lanka Association of NSW in partnership with EthniQ, will be held on the 28th of June 2015 at the Castle Grand reception hall in Castle Hill.

This spectacular event with a difference is organised with the intention of not only showcasing new and trendy fashions, but also towards increasing awareness and promoting breast cancer screening among the target audience of ladies coming from the subcontinent (India, Sri Lanka etc) and the general community at large.

The utterly mystifying array of ethnic fashions which will be modeled by over fifteen models is undoubtedly going to be an eye pleaser and an eye opener for the four hundred or so guests the organisers are hoping to attract to attend the event. The guests will not only be treated to a runway full of fashion but also to sumptuous finger food with a spicy flare.

While indulging in fashion and food the guests will also be provided with vital information on a topic that's close to all our hearts which in fact is the inspiration behind this event, female breast cancer and the need for early detection through regular screening. The executive Director of the Breast Cancer institute of Westmead Associate Professor Nirmala Pathmanadan will grace the event speaking of the importance of regular breast screening in the appropriate female population.

The colour pink that represents breast cancer awareness was chosen as the colour theme for the evening giving the guests the opportunity to come clad in this colour to support this worthy venture. Castle Grand is expected to be transformed into a dazzling venue when a fashion show of this magnitude and nature is taking place with a catwalk running towards the middle of the hall right into the midst of the audience. The audience itself is expected to be a sight to behold exhibiting their pink attire in all its glory.

Dilini Janaratne of EthniQ, the chief organiser of the fashion show, has successfully delivered an ethnic themed bridal fashion show earlier in 2013. She and her team are committed to making this unprecedented event all the success in needs to be.
