Keep those holiday vibes alive
4 Fabulous February Theatre Finds
January has come to an end and February brings work and school. Sometimes it feels like all the fun dies once the routine kicks back in. In a desperate search to keep the Summer fun feeling flowing, I have tracked down four great shows to see in February to keep those holiday vibes alive.
A woman traverses the world with only a backpack, her anti-patriarchal sentiment, and her white privilege. As she journey's by train, plane, car, and bicycle she learns little and has no idea how to put what she does learn into practice. The Rambling Feminist sheds certainty, wandering with a bag full of books and a pocket full of dreams.
Having gone AWOL, this digger is hiding away in his bush tent with his dog Bluey and a billy on the boil. Deep in his musings on a relationship which was more than just mateship he is confronted by a magical therapist helping him make the medicine go down. Sad Digger Mad Mary is an unorthodox story about a man confronting his desires and resisting assimilation.
The Play That Goes Wrong is an Olivier Award Winning comedy Masterpiece. The Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society try to put on a 1920's murder mystery but everything that could go wrong does go wrong. This is a highly physical piece of theatre with farce and slapstick delivered with precision timing.
