Want Ekka-style carnival fun without the hefty expenditure? Logan Central Plaza will celebrate forty years of operation with the family-friendly festival
.
Open to all members of the community, this event will feature carnival rides, petting zoo, face painting and children's activities. Guests of all ages will be delighted by roving entertainers, including acrobats, stilt walkers, a balloon wizard and special guests Chase and Marshall from Paw Patrol.
Logan Central Plaza was officially opened by Sir Joh Bjelke-Petersen and Russ Hinze 21 August 1978 as "Woodridge K-Mart Plaza Shopping Centre." Kmart (formerly known as K-Mart) and Coles (formerly known as New World) were the major stores, supported by 56 specialty retailers.
The centre has since undergone three different aesthetic makeovers and has positioned itself as being the local community hub.
Centre Manager, Mr Miles Martin will be joined by local elder Uncle Bob, Cr Russell Lutton and Honourable Jim Chalmers for the Welcome to Country and official ceremony commencing at 9.30am.
Attendees will receive one free ride pass upon spending $5 in-centre on the day. Alternatively, loyal customers will be able to trade 50 "Love Logan Rewards Points" for a ride pass.
Logan Central Plaza is owned by YFG Shopping Centres and managed by Retail First Pty Ltd. This event proudly sponsored by Logan City Council.
