The pretty town of Richmond in south-east Tasmania not only has colonial architectural beauty, but it also has Exquisite Style - a beautiful shop and online store offering high quality, locally made jewellery, art, craft, gifts and other lovelies for sale.



The stylish store, tucked away on Forth Street behind the Bridge Street lolly shop, is so enticing, I couldn't help wandering in on my first visit to Richmond.

Everything is carefully and beautifully displayed, right from the front step. Inside, the store is spacious and well laid out, so it's easy to browse the attractive stock comfortably.



And that's ideal, as there's so much to browse! Divine artwork prints, sweet crochet and macramé pieces, skincare products, cute little animal carvings and fabric chickens, scarves, tea lovers' gift boxes - I could go on and on.

One of the main drawcards here is the glamorous, elegant jewellery designed and crafted from Swarovski crystals right here in Richmond. The truly eye-catching pieces include stud and drop earrings, bracelets, necklaces, brooches and more.



These amazing pieces are created by Richmond artist Hayley Wilson, who owns and operates Exquisite Style. Hayley also produces stunning art prints and gift cards from her own pencil artworks.

Hayley says her mum contributes the crochet and macramé pieces to the stock lines, while her dad makes the timber household items sold in the store - including the cute little wooden native animals that took my heart.



Other local artisans also sell their works here, including funky fabric chickens, handbags and skincare products. And although nothing is the usual mass-produced giftware, the prices are really reasonable.
