The life and songs of Edith Piaf

Exposing Edith, a multi-award winning cabaret tale about the greatest French singer of all time, comes to FRINGE WORLD for a strictly limited season.

Created and performed by Michaela Burger (vocals) and Greg Wain (guitar), Exposing Edith charts the tragic life of the greatest French singer of all time, Edith Piaf, through the songs which shot her to international stardom, including 'La Vie en Rose', 'Milord' and 'Non, je ne regrette rien'.

Having explored the undertones of Piaf's vocals and lyrics, Burger and Wain have created their own unique interpretations of Piaf's work, using voice and acoustic guitar and the subtle use of loop, delay and effect pedals. The result is a stunning mix of authentic French chanson and contemporary sounds.

During the performance, Burger will take on a multitude of key characters, from Edith's half-sister Momone, to several of her lovers and, of course, Edith Piaf herself, and recount the extraordinary stories of Piaf's life, loves and loss.

Don't miss this very special opportunity to see Exposing Edith at St George's Cathedral at Cathedral Square from 31 January to 3 February 2018.

Tickets are now on sale through and priced from $30.
