Relive some of the fun of Expo 88
Just a few weeks ago, there was a lot of publicity around some Expo 88 signs which had been living at Burpengary since the famous World Expo in 1988, and how, thanks to a generous benefactor, they were "saved".

They have now been transported to the Caboolture Historical Village, where volunteers are working to rejuvenate the signs for a celebration later in the year.

The Citadel Gallery opened earlier this year and has on display photographs of Caboolture and surrounds from years ago. The Village has a great collection of historic photos and documents and the display will change regularly.

It's been a while since I visited the Village and on my most recent visit, I found some new exhibits and preparations for the Expo event.

There has always been plenty to see at the Village, with over 75 buildings and lots of history of the area to explore.

It is 30 years since Expo 88 put Brisbane onto the world's stage and it is worth celebrating, so watch for details on the website.

World Expo 88 certainly put Queensland "on the map" and it is worth celebrating so watch for news on the event at the Village.
