As part of National Science Week (15-23 Aug 2020), ANUSSA Science Reps brings you Explosions and Collisions in Space with Astrophysicist Dr Brad Tucker via Mount Stromio Observatory on Thursday 20 August 2020 from 8pm to 9.30pm. This is a FREE online event and the presentation will be delivered via Facebook LIVE on the ANU Astronomy Society Facebook page.

An hour-long presentation with time for Q&A throughout, the talk will be followed by a 30 minute pre-recorded stargazing session that'll begin around 9pm. Discover just how busy and active our Universe truly is with exploding stars, colliding galaxies and black holes. It's filled with the biggest and most powerful objects that sometimes explode and collide like crashing space stations and powerful space lasers. Enter the wonderland of our universe by attending this fascinating talk, especially for the fans; and the rest of us can expand our horizons and discover something new.
