Discover the Discoverers!
There have always been incredible explorers who have discovered amazing things and forged their own way. Some have been famous, and some have been forgotten, but without them, everything we know would be completely different. From the first steps out of the caves to the first steps on the moon, the explorers paved the way for everyone who came after them. And it is thanks to these Explorers that we can hear all about them at this talk, the
Explorers: Age of Discovery with the one and only James May.
The star of so many shows, but most easily recognisable from
Top Gear and
The Grand Tour, James May is a charming and intelligent man who is passionate about so many things. And when you listen to his talks, you are going to learn all about the different incredible explorers throughout history. Learn all about the way our past explorers have seen every corner of the Earth. The desserts, the mountains and more have all been conquered. The stories are going to come from migration and space travel. The famous and infamous explorers. James will be telling the stories of the different explorers, combining theatrical techniques, storytelling and other entertaining techniques to bring the stories to life.
James will be onstage, telling the audiences about the risks and curiosities that these explorers sometimes died for. Some of these explorers whose endeavours will be brought to life include Lief Ericson, John Cabot, James Cook 2019s navigator Tupaia, Stanley and Livingstone, Gertrude Bell, as well as the astronauts who have been to the moon- Michael Collins, Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong on Apollo 11. Everything that these explorers and brilliant people have done will be told to you on stage, captivating the audience.
If you want to take part and learn all about what it takes to be an explorer, as well as see James May onstage, then you're going to want to head to Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre on Tuesday, the 29th of July. Tickets start at $100 per person and go up from there. Pre-sale has been popular, so you're going to want to book as fast as possible to avoid disappointment. The doors open at 7:30 pm. By then, you're going to be so inspired that you might want to be the next great explorer that James May will talk about next time!
