Now that there is a little relaxation of the lock-down rules it's time to get out and about. Yes, there are still limitations, but perhaps it is a good time to re-explore your own locality.

For me, during the early days of the virus drama, I moved back to Wynnum, where I have lived most of my life after an absence of over ten years. My only outings were to the supermarket and occasionally to Bunnings, but I was keen to explore and see what, if anything, had changed since those earlier days.

I've just started on my explorations, and I do remember to take my camera, for this time of year is great for photography along the waterfront. As I wander alone along the waterfront and the jetty, I can see that there is so much for me to explore.

Along the streets there seem to be more cars, but I guess there are many like me, taking advantage of the great sea views, and many people sit on rugs on the lawns or sit in a fold-up chair with a book.

I'd wandered around Wynnum a little, Manly and Lota but keen to go back. I have made a list of the places I want to visit yes, more beach walks, parks, historical buildings, and more.

My message is to explore your own locality. You will probably discover a lot too. Oh, and take a camera. It's so much fun to revisit your journey with your pics.

Oh, and it's FREE - unless you stop at the cafes along the waterfront.
