Located on 176 Gladstone Road, Allenstown, Rockhampton, this visitor centre is not far from the southern entry to Rockhampton. If you need any information about Rockhampton and the surrounding area, the visitor centre staff will guide you through.





Just like any other visitor center, this place has many brochures of touristy places. But the staff's knowledge, especially about hidden gem places that only local knows, are truly amazing. They are very friendly and ready to help.



The visitor center has a small corner where drivers can revive with free coffee or tea. It's not like a cafe where you can order a cappuccino, it's just a simple instant coffee but can help if you need one.



Other facilities at the visitor centre are including a toilet block, a carpark even enough for coach parking, free wi-fi and disabled access available. You can also learn more about the Tropic of Capricorn just outside the visitor centre with the one and only Tropic of Capricorn Spire. There is parkland adjacent to the visitor centre with beautiful landscape complete with a playground, picnic tables and free BBQ. Just a perfect place for stretch-a-leg before continuing your trip.
