Explore Rockhampton Centre is a one-stop shop for all your travelling needs. The centre has knowledgeable staff who can assist you with your queries. They are happy to provide advice on what to see and do around the region as well as where to dine in town. You'll find plenty of maps, brochures and itineraries too.



The centre is home to the Tropic of Capricorn Spire, a marker representing the southernmost latitude where the sun can be seen directly overhead. It also acts as a sundial for visitors to observe how the earth moves around the sun. This circle of latitude passes just south of Rockhampton.



As the centre is staffed by volunteers, its opening hours may vary. Feel free to ring them on 4936 8000 before visiting. The centre can be found at 176 Gladstone Road in Allenstown approximately four kilometres from the CBD. For more information, head to www.explorerockhampton.com.au .
