Experience Sailing with Blue Water Sailing School in 2023/24!

At Victoria Harbour, Docklands, join Blue Water Sailing School for this exciting four-hour introduction to sailing.

No experience or special gear is needed!

Over 4 fun-filled hours, you will learn key skills such as:

Essential sailing safety

Basic sailing concepts

Set up

Learn to tack, gybe and trim the sails for different points of sailing as you slice through the water

Try your hand on the helm under supervision

At the conclusion of the session, you will motor up the river and enjoy refreshments and the sites of the Yarra River.

It's set to be a memorable day on the water! Plus there is always the chance of seeing dolphins, seals and fairy penguins!

Want to take your sailing experience to the next level? Experience Sailing Weekend is a chance to experience the sailing lifestyle on a wonderful weekend of sailing, dining and exploring Port Phillip.

The adventure begins with a pizza and welcome drink. You will spend overnight at Melbourne City Marina, sail to Sandringham Yacht Club for lunch on Saturday then across the bay to Wyndham Harbour for a BBQ.

On Sunday join in a race and test your crew work before lunch, a navigation challenge and then a champagne cruise up the river to Docklands. You won’t be a spectator, but will learn key skills and begin to use them as you trim sails, winch sheets and try your hand on the helm. Find out more here.
