The Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre is a cultural facility with a busy schedule of exhibitions, performance, theatre, and events across six galleries, two theatres and river frontage. Saturday 18 May 2019 from 2-4pm is the exhibition launch event of Everyday Madonna at 1 Powerhouse Rd, Casula. This is a FREE event.

Featuring works by the following artists; Eddie Abd, Linda Brescia, Louisa Chircop, Karla Dickens, Mona Ibrahim, Nicole Monks, Susan O'Doherty, Pamela Rodoreda, Marikit Santiago and Rokeya Sultana, they question cultural and popular images of mothers, such as the iconic Madonna and Child. They go beyond the expectations of society and culture and what it deems as ideal, and define mums by interpreting them as real, imperfect, resilient, leaders of resistance and fierce protectors.

Beyond the launch, the Exhibition continues till 30 June 2019, and the Arts Centre is open from 9-5 on weekdays and 9-4 on weekends. Admission is FREE.
