We all want our little ones to exercise and keep healthy, but sometimes its hard when all they want to do is sit in front a screen.
Here are three fun physical activity games to enjoy and keep active with the kids.
1.Musical statues - Put on some kid friendly tunes and dance around, stop the music a few minutes in and then everyone has to freeze. Whoever is caught moving has to sit out. Lots of fun, encourage kids to dance, run and jump.
2. Poison Ball - This used to be my favourite game when I was younger. Roll a ball around on the ground and the kids have to run and jump to get away from it. Whoever the ball touches is out, works good on a trampoline or a large outdoor area.
3. Birds Nest - Used to play this one in school, put a whole collection of items in the centre of the playing space. Everyone has their own corner (nest), at the count of three everyone runs to grab 1 item each and bring it back to their nest.
Other people can then run to another persons nest to steal an item. You cannot steal an item from someone's nest if the person is at their nest already, lots of fun and really gets you tired. Good to play with children aged 6 and up because younger kids usually crack it as there's lots of stealing going on.
All these games are great games to play outdoors as Spring is coming into season, the kids will really enjoy these games and also good to play at birthday parties.
