Behold budding LEGO master builders; ahead of the international Star Wars Day "May the 4th Be with You", Westfield Southland will host a very special celebration involving everyone's favourite little bricks.
The "Forth" is very much with Dan and Chris Steininger; the world's only Father and Son LEGO Master Build duo, visiting Australia from their US home to build the mighty Millennium Falcon™ alongside two "dark side" TIE Fighters™, entirely out of LEGO bricks.
Exclusive LEGO Millennium Falcon™ Model Making at Southland
It is estimated that Hans Solo's Millennium Falcon™ replica will take some 200,000 LEGO bricks to build, with the completed structure measuring approximately 4 metres wide, making it the largest LEGO Millennium Falcon™ model ever assembled.
The two LEGO TIE Fighters™ as seen in the Star Wars empire, will each use close to 40,000 LEGO bricks to build, and stand approximately 2m high.
Once completed, all LEGO models will stand against an intergalactic backdrop to allow visiting fans to interact with the models as seen in their favourite Star Wars episodes.
Now the really exciting part - this stellar project will allow fans visiting Wesfield Southland in Cheltenham on the weekend of 2nd and 3rd May to help build the epic structures.
As well as this cosmic LEGO building mission, young Jedi's in training will also get the opportunity to partake Star Wars trivia games and LEGO speed building challenges with plenty of prizes for up for grabs.
Lastly, there will be a selection of exciting new sets from the extensive LEGO Star Wars range on display, and a some sneak previews of the new animated series; LEGO Star Wars Droid Tales and Star Wars Rebels episodes.
