Modern Art Exhibition
Regurgitator's Ben Ely has chosen the consumer society as the topic of his new visual art exhibition showing in Brisbane this winter. Titled "Everything Must Go", the exhibition features the promotion of fictitious products which target the modern citizens of the free world.
The walls of the Powerhouse at New Farm will be filled with colour, slogans and form in Ely's unique take on today's society. This free exhibition will run throughout May and June at the New Farm site. Ben Ely is probably best known for his stint as bass guitarist for iconic Brisbane band, Regurgitator. Along with Quan Yeomans and Martin Lee, Regurgitator stole the hearts of the indie music scene with songs like "Polyester Girl", "Blubber Boy" and "I like your old stuff better than your new stuff".
