Everything In Between will be in cinemas nationally from 20 October 2022. With a run time of 90 minutes and rated M, it's directed by Nadi Sha and stars Jordan Dulieu, Freyja Benjamin, Gigi Edgley and Martin Crewes.

Suffering from depression, with no interest in life, 18 year old Jay is lonely as he stands on the edge of a cliff, contemplating an end to his privileged but meaningless existence. Liz, who grew up near San Francisco, on the other hand, lands in Sydney for her latest backpacking adventure around the globe. A sliding door moment brings this unlikely pair together. Unfortunately, Liz's adventure comes to an abrupt end as she contracts a life-threatening mystery illness on her travels.

An only child, Jason Knight (Jay) comes from a well-to-do family, living in a good neighbourhood. In and out of therapy since high school, he's developed no close relationships at school. His disengaged father and oppressive mother seem unapproachable. He has nowhere to turn. At his lowest ebb, saved by the narrowest of circumstances, he meets the older, experienced, vibrant world traveller Liz Myers. Within a short window of time, she manages to crawl under his skin and open him up to so much more - the essence of life and all the moments in between.

Jay is enamoured with Liz and the beauty of her spirit. He tries to follow her around like man's best friend, but she's on her own journey and needs to travel it alone. An orphan, she faces the possibility of death with no one to support her. An inexperienced teen, Jay has to learn to give her space, as much as she's invoked the protector in him. For once, he's got someone to care about and doesn't quite understand the rejection. The downside is, if Liz's life ends, Jay feels it's the end of his too.

A layered and mature coming of age drama set within the juxtaposition of one who no longer wants to exist, and the other, fighting to exist, it explores the human condition with subtlety and insight and invites you on a journey of inner reflection. Freyja Benjamin as the dying Liz, plays it with dignity and sensitivity. She falls naturally into character of the free spirit and hippy that Liz is. She is quite mesmerising on screen and her restrained sorrow will bring a lump to your throat. Jordan Dulieu as Jay is imbued with the innocence that is required as an inexperienced loner but is not quite experienced enough to bring heft to his brooding character.

Martin Crews as Dave, Jay's dad, on the other hand, plays a loveable rogue with aplomb. You can't help but like him. Somewhat narcissistic, he still manages to bring a depth and humanity to his character. Gigi Edgley as Jay's designer clad mum Dee, for whom status is everything, unravels beautifully as discord and dilemma rear their ugly heads. She plays the multilayered mum with sensitivity, one who undoubtedly loves her son on one hand, while on the other she's a little disengaged and lost as to what to do as she seeks solace in the vodka bottle.
