every/nowhere is an acclaimed immersive solo performance work by Serena Chalker, co-director of award-winning dance company, Anything Is Valid Dance Theatre.
Fringe World Festival 2015 is proud to present the Australian premiere season at The Chapel Space in North Perth, from February 4th to 15th at 7:00pm.
every/nowhere is an one of a kind experience that exists in-between 'here and elsewhere, past and present.'
It is performed for an audience of just 10 per show and combines poetry and dance improvisation.
"I developed this work whilst living away in London." says artist Serena Chalker "It is a reflection of the idea that wherever you go in the world, you are always re-evaluating your understanding of place and what it means to be 'home'. Travel and displacement are universal experiences, and they can really shift your understanding of the world, as the memories you collect start to interrupt your experience of the present".
The intimate audience is invited to enter the performance one at a time, at 2 minute intervals, guided through the performance by audio guides, with original text written by the artist.
It is a moving and poetic experience for the senses and examines how, through memory, we create our own geographies and construct 'home', wherever we are from.
Tickets for this strictly limited season are now on sale through the Fringe World website.
Early bookings are highly recommended.
