Cherry blossoms, tulips and various spring flowers are in full bloom at the Everglades, Leura set amongst the stunning backdrop of the Jamison Valley, Blue Mountains.

Everglades Historic House and Garden offer thirteen acres of European-style gardens and native bushland and in spring, the garden terraces come alive, brimming with vibrant pops of colours - yellow daffodils and purple bell-flowers greet you at the entrance, brilliant red tulips by the Everglades house, a row of delicate pink weeping cherry blossoms in full bloom against the deep green manicured lawn – and here, at the Cherry Terrace is where you will want to spend most of your time.

Stepping down from the studio terrace, admire the art-deco styled balustrade to the Everglades house, built in the 1930s.

To the left of the house is an amazing little vegetable garden. Usually filled with cabbage, rhubarb, herbs, zucchini, carrots and tomatoes, but for now, there's a couple of large patches of gorgeous red tulips to marvel at.

The tea room offers panoramic views of the Jamison Valley, a perfect vista to enjoy some Devonshire Tea. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, the tea rooms are currently closed.

The Studio Terrace features the Garden Theatre's grand arch, beautiful green lawn, a reflection pool outside the Art Gallery and the outdoor brick windows draped with wisteria (when in bloom), framing the magical landscape of the Jamison Valley.

Amazing views from Art Gallery windows. Currently on display is the history of the Everglades Gardens by the National Trust NSW.

To the east of the Art Gallery, at the back of the conifer walk, is a small loop trail lined with red camellia trees where the ground is carpeted with bright red camellia petals - quite stunning.

There's so much ground to cover in this huge garden, you would definitely need the whole day and some good shoes to venture out to the glades, lookout and grotto pool.

The lookout offering sweeping views of the Gordan Valley below forms part of the native bushland section of the garden, also featuring the same art-deco style balustrade.

It is recommended purchase your tickets in advance via Eventbrite here .

Have a great day out!
