Everard Park Reserve is a fun playground tucked away in the suburban streets, not too far from the Adelaide Showgrounds. It is a fun and colourful play area that children will love, and adults can enjoy. It is a great place to meet up with friends, or somewhere to take the kids for a treat.
The playground is the main feature in this park. The brightly coloured play area has slides, activities, climbing frames, fireman's poles, and swings. It is a large area with climbing walls, and bridges to cross, making it a great area to inspire children's imagination. It is best suited to slightly older children, but younger children will still be able to enjoy it. There is other equipment around the park like bouncing horses, that younger children will especially enjoy. The playground is surrounded by a fence, so that not only will children have their own play area, but they are also safer from the roads around the park.
Outside of the fenced playground there is also a grassed area. Bring along a soccer ball or a footy, and you can use this area for some fun ball games. There is plenty of space for children to run around, either in the playground area, or outside on the grassed area. The grassed area is only partially fenced, so make sure you keep an eye on the kids, even though the park is not surrounded by a busy road.
The grass would also be a nice place to set up a picnic. You could bring along a picnic blanket to enjoy your food anywhere in the park, the grass is a nice place to sit. If you'd prefer not to eat on the grass you can take advantage of the available picnic table. There is also a barbecue, so you can bring the whole family along and have a cook up by the barbecue.
The park is great for parents to head on the weekend with the kids, or a good spot for mothers' groups and friends to meet up. It is a well maintained park with a fun and high quality playground. Here you'll find a toilet block, as well as change tables for any younger members of the family.
