There are also free workshops for the kids thanks to Waverley Woodworkers and Sanderrific. Get up close to some fascinating Aussie wildlife and have an opportunity to try out different experiences with the local sporting clubs before you register. This includes callisthenics, footy, fencing, tennis, softball, baseball, rugby, and such like. Be sure to check out the link for timeframes of feature performances at a central podium, hosted by the fab MC Jenny Patrone. It wouldn't be a fun event without food, so look forward to food stalls galore. A family-friendly event, be sure to follow the link for all the exciting details.

The Food and Beverage Innovation Exchange is a totally different kind of event. It's for all of you who are a food and beverage business looking to innovate and develop new products, or tap into international markets. You're invited by the Monash Council and the City of Stonnington to join in for a rare opportunity to go behind the scenes of one of Australia's leading food innovation centres. If you know someone in the industry, be sure to let them know. Registered attendees will be emailed instructions to access free parking and a campus map before the event. Directional signs will also be in place on the night.

Stay sustainable and be kind to Mother Earth by heading for The Great Clothing Exchange . This is a mega-swap event for kids, teens and adults. A toy and festive decorations swap is also being hosted at the same time, just next door at Glen Waverley Library. This mega swap is the perfect time to clean out your cupboards, declutter and cull. A perfect opportunity to exchange or donate good quality pre-loved items while enjoying fun textile and sustainability activities. If you can't get to our mega exchange, you can donate your good quality pre-loved items at Monash Civic Centre between 2pm - 4pm on Friday 29 November. See here for a list of things you can and can't exchange.

Monash Carols by Candlelight is the perfect way to celebrate festive cheer. A heartwarming evening it shall be, filled with music, entertainment, community, and the holiday spirit. Get in early as there's pre-show entertainment, free kids activities, including the wonderful students from Oakleigh Primary School, setting the stage for a wonderful night. The Monash Carols Band will kick things off at 7.30pm, hosted by the dynamic Gary Pinto. The evening will showcase performances from Jael Wena, Amalia Foy, Siena Katelyn, Oliver Mordaunt and more. Santa Claus is a given, as it can't be Christmas without the big man in red right? Fireworks will conclude this magical event at 9pm. Do note - Monash Carols by Candlelight is proud to be a live-captioned event. Candles, glow novelties, drinks, and snacks will be available for purchase throughout the evening. This family-friendly, alcohol-free event encourages everyone to bring a torch, picnic rug, warm clothing, and comfortable shoes. Please leave pets at home, as the fireworks may cause distress to animals. Parking is limited, so plan your journey in advance.
