I love the arts and creativity. My early career was in teaching, writing, producing and directing for film, theatre, comedy and improv shows. Now I'm a professional creative content producer, mostly on digital platforms.

Patton Oswalt once described the work of David Sedaris as 'original, hilarious and sometimes as infuriating'. Pretty soon Australian audiences will have the chance to see that original, infuriating hilarity themselves as the best-selling American author and humourist gets set to tour many of our capital cities. David Sedaris has announced his highly anticipated fourth sojourn to Australia following his previous sold out tours.

Sedaris has recently released his latest book Theft By Finding: Diaries (1977-2002) to critical acclaim and doting reviews. Soon, the masterful writer with a cult following will visit Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and Brisbane for a series of live performances featuring all-new and unpublished stories and observations, plus audience Q&As and book signings.

When you're as perceptive and curious as Sedaris, there's no such thing as a dull moment or a boring day. This book of diary entries shows a rare and personal insight into the mind of this unique and modern observer. You soon learn Sedaris is a man for whom adventure waits around every corner.

Sedaris' style of humour is very autobiographical and often self-deprecating. His career really took off in the early 1990s on radio in the US, with his first collection of essays and short stories, Barrel Fever, published in 1994. He also penned the revered book Holidays on Ice, as well as collections of personal essays including Naked, Me Talk Pretty One Day, Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim, When You Are Engulfed in Flames and Let's Explore Diabetes with Owls. He's also been a regular contributor to well-respected publication, The New Yorker.

An Evening with David Sedaris is guaranteed to be full of laugh-out-loud moments. His 'funny because they're true' observations will have you guffawing as much as you think. His intellectually stimulating discussions burst with acerbic wit and biting social critiques. Don't miss your chance to spend an evening with one of the world's pre-eminent humorists. These shows are sure to book out. Tickets on sale from 9am Friday 21st July at davidsedaristour.com.au.
