Joining the many great places to dine on Paddington's fashionable Given Terrace is Eurovida, a little taste of Europe right here in Brisbane.
Open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks, the cafe offers some amazing eats in a small but warm and cozy setting right across from the Paddo Tavern.
Their all day menu is a mix of sweet and savoury breakfasts and some more substantial lunch or dinner meals, though the all day menu means you can have eggs benedict or pancakes for afternoon tea should you so desire.
Trying it out for brunch on a drizzly Sunday morning after a browse of their menu had me salivating, my partner and I had a breakfast that would definitely join our top ten list of Brisbane breakfasts.
It was difficult to choose from the menu, which was only one page but listed some pretty tempting choices, but we managed to make a decision. Fluffy, melt-in-the-mouth pancakes and grilled bananas served with salted caramel sauce and cream had a me licking the plate clean (literally, while my partner tried to pretend he wasn't with me) before finishing off the italian sausages with bean ragu and sourdough on the other side of the table that were apparently so sizable they couldn't be finished by a hungry man.
The service was super efficient, with the food coming out with steam still coming off it before I'd even gotten halfway through my latte (which was perfect, by the way). Delicious looking pecan and caramel muffins next to the register tempted me on the way out but I was talked out of them with the threat of being made to go to the gym on a Sunday by my partner.
We will definitely be going back to try more off Eurovida's menu and I give it 9 out of 10 for food, service and ambience.
