Melbourne's iconic Eureka Skydeck positioned on the 88th floor of the Eureka Tower, opened a brand new fun and family friendly activity to the public last weekend.

Situated within the highest viewing platform in the Southern Hemisphere, Eureka VERTIGO takes you on a perfectly safe journey that ends with a hilarious nerve-wracking photographic souvenir that will give the impression that you escaped a fall from the world's only glass viewing cube.

Eureka Skydeck 88, situated in Melbourne's Southbank precinct is one of the city's must-see tourist spots. After the tower's elevators propel you up to the 88th floor in just 40 seconds, you are welcomed into Eureka Skydeck 88 offering superb 360° views of Melbourne's iconic landmarks stretched from Port Phillip Bay to the Dandenong Ranges, high above the city skyline.

With Melbourne's varied weather, each visit brings forth a new and exciting perspective, although most would suggest the best time to visit Eureka Skydeck 88 would be sunset.

Visitors to Eureka Skydeck 88 that feel the urge to take their viewing encounter to new heights, book onto the Edge; the only experience in the world where you can walk out in a glass cube that projects 3 metres out from the building, suspended close to 300 metres above the ground.

The Edge would not be suited to the faint-hearted, and most certainly not recommended for those with a true fear of heights. Thrill seekers however, will thrive walking on the transparent glass floor of the Edge, spotting teeny tiny cars and people some 88 floors above the streets of Melbourne.

Combining the idea of heading out to the most fear-mongering experience within the tower, Eureka VERTIGO is a constructed stage set complete with green screen installation perfecting the illusion that you have fallen through the Edge, with a photograph to prove you were holding on for dear life some 285 metres above the ground.

Suitable for any age, Eureka VERTIGO takes approximately 10-15 minutes, where you and a friend or family member pose with your scariest face, holding onto the bars of a simulated Edge box. Your photograph is superimposed onto an image high above the streets of Melbourne with the glass of the Edge broken beneath your feet.

Eureka VERTIGO costs $12 which includes a compelling paper framed 9" x 6" photograph and a digital copy ready to upload social media sites.

To take part in Eureka VERTIGO you must first enter Eureka Skydeck 88, open every day of the year from 10am - 10pm (last entry 9.30pm). New Years Eve & Christmas Day Close at 5.30pm (last entry 5pm). Visit Eureka Skydeck 88 website for up-to-date entry prices.
