Experience the magic of Eumundi Markets
If you are visiting the beautiful Sunshine Coast, or looking for an easy day trip from Brisbane, then Eumundi Markets is the perfect day out. Located approximately an hour and a half drive from Brisbane, Eumundi has something for every member of the family, from our grandparents to our beloved furry friends.
For the foodies amongst us, these markets can take you on an international culinary journey. From German Sausages and Mexican, to bubble tea and your classic potato on a stick, even the fussiest eaters will find a treasure at Eumundi Markets. These markets are also located on the main road, where you can find numerous cafes if you need a rest in between shopping adventures.
If you are looking for a gift for that hard-to-buy-for friend or relative, then you have come to the perfect place. It would take forever to list all the stalls we found on our visit, needless to say these markets are almost endless. You will find gifts for the bohemians and the cynics, for the cat ladies and the chefs, the fashionistas, the kids, the pets. They have dresses made of t-shirts and toys made of wood, and every type of jewellery under the sun.
Eumundi is very easy to find, located on the Bruce Highway between Gympie and Yandina. For those without cars travelling from Brisbane, you can take the train right into the town centre. For those with cars, if you want to park in the designated carpark there is a fee of $6, or you can take your chances with street parking. The Eumundi Markets are open on Wednesdays from 8am to 1.30pm, and on Saturdays from 7am to 2pm. Authors tip: arrive at opening time for the best carparks, this market gets so busy you could end up parking over a kilometre away.
