An Easter celebration of Australia's most iconic plant
The Royal Botanic Gardens in Cranbourne, located approximately 45km south east of Melbourne's CBD, is a division of Melbourne's iconic Royal Botanic Gardens.

The attraction of Cranbourne's Royal Botanic Gardens has to its specialty in displaying native Australian plants.

This Easter, one of Australia's most iconic plants, the Ecualyptus tree will be celebrated as part of a fun family festival.

With over 800 species spread across Australia, the Eucalypt is a rich part of the nation's culture, and a common food for Australia's iconic cuddly animal, the Koala.

Whilst you may not expect to see Koalas at Cranbourne's Royal Botanical Gardens, there will be a fun chocolate Easter Bandicoot Hunt for the little ones, plus art and craft activities, facepainting, music and performers, walks, talks and workshops.

There'll be a guided tour through the Eucalypt Walk of the Australian Garden, a gardening workshop, and an opportunity to learn how to play a didgeridoo, finding out how they were made from eucalyptus trees.

Cranbourne's division of the Royal Botanical Garden has been 20 years in the making. If you've not had a chance to visit yet, the Easter Eucalypt Festival will be the perfect opportunity to do so.

Thank you for the post. We went there today and had such a lovely time that we can't wait to go back again. The Gardens are beautiful, such that words cannot describe. I have been to a few botanic Gardens around the world, but these are unique and beautifully landscaped. One leaves with the feeling of awe and inspiration. The children had a wonderful time as well.
