Featuring world-class technology experts

The impact of AI is increasing in our society and it is important for the wider public to be informed about the critical ethical decisions involved when creating AI systems.

As part of National Science Week,'The Ethics of Artificial Intelligence' is a thought-provoking panel session with enlightening presentations from world-class experts in AI, technology, law, policy, media and ethics.

Live streamed from Pawsey Supercomputing Centre on Thursday 15 August at 4pm, this special event will explore noteworthy topics of today as AI disrupts our economy and the world in ways not seen since the industrial revolution.

As AI continues to permeate our workplaces, personal privacy, society and politics, we must ask ourselves:

  • How can we ensure AI is being used for good?:

  • Who is accountable for the decisions made by AI?:

  • What is the responsibility of government, corporations and the general public in shaping the rules of how AI will be created and used?

Presented by The Artificial Intelligence Collaborative Network (AICN), this moderated event aims to inform and educate people about the emerging debates in the field of the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
