Ethica Accessories, a not-for-profit fair trade organisation supported by Mary MacKillop International, is holding a Christmas High Tea from 10am to 12:30pm on Thursday, 19th November at the Ron Dyer Centre, St Mary's Parish grounds in North Sydney.
But it's a high tea with a difference! Not only will it be a chance to support the work that Ethica does with women in need in Peru, it's also a chance to shop and view their range of quality fair trade products such as alpaca products, bags and accessories and even Christmas decorations.
The products are by made the women under fair trade conditions, meaning they are given the opportunity to earn a fair income from the products they sell. Ethica assists in training the women in production of the accessories, and they are then paid on the spot for their export-quality goods. Their wages are used for them alone - for their food, electricity or medicine, and other everyday living costs.
By supporting the Christmas High Tea, you're also supporting the lives and livelihoods of women in need.
To attend the Christmas High Tea, book your ticket at www.trybooking.com/Booking/BookingEventSummary.aspx?eid=165162 or call 02 8912 2716. Tickets are only $25 and you will also be able to take part in a raffle draw and order wine at discounted prices from Tom Cellars.
