Unwind and dine on the banks of the Hawkesbury River near the fishing town of Brooklyn. Estuary Restaurant is the perfect place to soak in spectacular views of the river while tasting some of the local seafood produce.
Watch the boats and yachts pass by along the Hawkesbury River and admire the peaceful atmosphere of the area. Estuary is the kind of place where you won't feel like getting up from your table after you dine because you won't want to leave the views of the river or the nearby National Parks.
Appropriately priced to match the quality of the food, dishes are elegantly plated and professionally served by friendly waiters. The food is delicious, full of packed flavour and the local produce is freshly served.
I recently visited Estuary for lunch and tasted their King Prawns. The prawns were well cooked and were served with an avocado whip and a drizzle of herb oil which had a rich and distinct flavour. But the real star of the dining experience was the Barramundi, which was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. The dish was also served with a fresh salad.
There are plenty of options for you to choose from the Estuary Menu including Prawns, Barbecue Mushrooms, Oysters, Snapper Boreks, Duck Pancakes and more.
If you would like to have a picnic by the river instead of dining in, Estuary Kiosk provides a range of takeaway options for you to choose from including Fish and Chips, Fresh Oysters, Bacon and Egg Ciabatta, Salt and Pepper Squid along with pastries, cakes, cold drinks and coffees (especially for those on the go!).
Estuary Restaurant also caters to a wide variety of functions and events. If you are organising a birthday event, planning a wedding or deciding upon the best location to host your special event then consider the Estuary with sweeping views of the river from the Lower Level Function Space.
View of Hawkesbury River and the Railway Bridge in the distance
Located right on the outskirts of Sydney, the Estuary is a 20-minute drive from the beginning of the M1 Motorway at Hornsby. Take the Brooklyn exit once you cross the Hawkesbury River and venture back across the river on the Pacific Highway bridge which will take you right near Estuary's doorstep.
There are a range of local activities for you to do if you choose to make a day trip out of the journey. Take a five-minute drive from the Estuary into the Brooklyn township and walk along the Brooklyn Park Mangrove Boardwalk.
