Dubbed 'Essential Design', this lunch/interactive workshop experience is ideal for young designers, marketing and communications specialists and design educators who are interested in gaining a greater understanding of responsible design, marketing and branding.
The event will commence with a scrumptious two-course lunch at Holloway Restaurant and Design Studio and will be held in a relaxed and informal environment, offering event-goers the opportunity to network with a small group of like-minded people from the design, education and arts industries.
In today's climate of growing sustainability practices and more and more consumers joining the green movement, designers face the challenge of considering the lifelong impact of the products they create and the processes necessary to bring them into being.
In the hands-on workshop, students will discuss the purpose of products and their creation via reclaimed and up-cycled materials and learn about sustainable Australian innovation from responsible design kings, Raffaele Persichetti and Martin Brown of Holloway.
The experience includes a two-course lunch followed by a two-hour Essential Design workshop, with all required materials provided.
Bookings are now open and will close on Thursday 26 March 2015.
The all inclusive cost is $45 for Griffith Alumni and $75 for Non-Griffith students.
