Anime fans are in for a treat
Anime fans will have a great Christmas this year as ACMI screens classic anime films from Hayao Miyazaki's whimsical Studio Ghibli animes to titles like Dragon Ball Z and Neon Genesis Evangelion. Japanese anime has become a global phenomenon with its great storytelling, pristine animation and unique characters, like 'No Face' from the Studio Ghibli's anime Spirited Away.

The best part of this anime spotlight is that the films will be shown in spectacular 35mm, Christopher Nolan's go-to medium for creating great films. Essential Anime will screen from 14 December - 20 December, tickets are $13, and discounts are available for members.

Anime is qute a unique art form. It has a charm all of its own. I often watch it on late night TYV.
