Best of North Indian cuisine
We have had takeaway meals in the past from Essence of North India restaurant but we decided to dine in. Though this restaurant is situated on a busy road, there is some parking at the restaurant or in the nearby street.
The vegetarian Aloo Baigan dish was very tasty with eggplant and potato in a flavoursome spicy sauce. The chicken dish was cooked in yellow sauce with coconut milk and cardamom and the chef's special spices. This was a mouth-watering main for which I will make a return journey. For the Saag dish, there was a choice of chicken, beef or lamb. Our choice of lamb was an enjoyable option with its spinach, spices and tomatoes, it had a tantalizing essence which captures the meaning of this wonderful restaurant of North Indian cuisine in North Ryde.
