With a new month comes the latest exhibition at the Old Schoolhouse Gallery - Essence of Blue.
A fresh display of artworks by local artisans everything on show during the month of July will have "a hint of blue". What a pick-me-up when winter days can at times require a boost (which chocolate and coffee can't always deliver).
The Old Schoolhouse Gallery in Cleveland's heritage precinct consists of five separate display rooms full of artwork and artisan gifts that are available to purchase. This community-run gallery "
promotes the visual arts by instruction, information and inspiration". At various times the gallery also runs demonstrations and workshops.
Located at 124 - 126 Shore Street North, Cleveland Point, the gallery is the perfect destination if you are looking for a short escape. It sits close to Moreton Bay, the beaches of Raby Bay, and is surrounded by eateries, cafes, and good coffee.
The gallery is open Thursdays through to Sundays from 9:30am to 4:30pm. The colourful flags at the entrance to the car park will cheerfully welcome you.
Just as the song says, "Don't it make my brown eyes blue".
