Everybody's favourite South Brisbane hangout, Fish Lane, is again hosting a buzzing festival. If you don't already have plans for Ekka eve then consider combining your caffeine intake with cocktail concoctions at the second annual Espresso Martini Festival on Tuesday 14 August from 5.30pm to 10pm.
Commonly, an Espresso Martini is made with vodka, espresso coffee, coffee liqueur, and sugar syrup, but there are myriad variations on this theme. Some of the confections on offer at this year's festival include a condensed milk ice cream cold drip vanilla martini and a rum salted golden syrup espresso martini. More creative combinations will be announced soon.
