It's been a long time coming - approximately 3 years - but it's back in time for the summer. The ESPY has re-opened. The Esplanade Hotel in St Kilda, an iconic local and music place to meet, is back bigger and better than ever, with areas that have not been accessed for over 50 years.

The media release suggested 12 bars, three band stages and two restaurants are part of the refurb. Well, it was all too much for an old band groupie, so I asked for a sneak peek and, thanks to the team at Sand Hill Road Hospitality Group, my wish was granted.

The ESPY has an eclectic assortment of themed rooms, with something for everyone. Summer all of a sudden just got a whole lot better.

If a picture paints a 1000 words, the ESPY is a photographer's haven. There are rooms with views, themed rooms with furniture to suit, kitchens that are open to see the chefs at work, samples of history around every corner and, up every little staircase, you can carry your drink and enjoy the walk around this St.Kilda icon
