Don't you just love the community spirit and atmosphere of a local market? One of the greatest weekend pleasures you can have is a nice stroll among the stalls. Queensland is lucky to have the kind of weather that's mostly friendly to markets too. So long as the weather is fine, you can find the Esk Country Markets bustling away with happy locals every Saturday from 7am until noon.
It's free to attend the market, but of course, you're going to want to pack your purse. There's a great range of stalls - some regular favourites, with new stallholders in attendance too. You'll find fresh fruit and vegetables, arts, crafts and gifts to suit everyone. There's also food and drinks, including delicious hot coffee to get your fired up if you arrive a little sleepy.
How about some home sewn or hand dyed clothing? You'll find some wonderfully unique apparel for sale at the Esk Country Markets. There are plants and trees for the green thumbs too. Buy and take home some tasty jams and relishes and sweet smelling soaps. You can also pick up books and heaps of other fun things from the stallholders.
The Esk Country Markets are held at Pipeliner Park, cnr Heap and Highland Streets, Esk 4312. You can check here if weather looks shaky - they always let you know if the market is on or not via Facebook.
