I live in New York and had some days of at the office last week. I didn't had much money to go out to Bahamas but at the same time I refused to stay in at NY (I know there is a lot to do here, but sometimes you just get tired). So Thursday night I drove to JFK and left my car near JFK Airport Parking. I entered the airport and bought myself a $150 dlls ticket to Boston. I wanted to relax and have fun at the same time and I did!
I stayed at a Holiday Inn hotel (nothing fancy but clean and quiet) and had a great sleep. I woke up to a fun Boston and decided to walk the streets of this beautiful city. I went to ''Tavern nights at the 'Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum'' where I had a "colonial" experience. This place is a tavern and the waiters were dressed in a colonial theme. This is an event that only happens twice a month, so if you want to go, you better check the dates.
That Friday I met someone at the museum who invited me to have dinner at the Banyan Bar on Saturday. This place is a gastro pub with great wine. I am definitely going back to this place someday.
Sunday was my last day in Boston and I wanted to relax, so I decided to attend a Punk Rock Yoga workshop. I do yoga back in New York, but this is totally different. The music brings out your creative side and it also gives you a sense of nostalgia because of the songs. This was a 2 hour yoga class and it sent me back to New York like a new person. I can't believe you can feel so rejuvenated just a few miles from New York. I recommend Boston to have a different weekend.
