Race against the clock to find keys, crack codes and escape
Escapism is a popular, real life problem-solving experience which is suitable for groups of two to six players. The first step involves being locked in a room and given a series of clues, riddles or problems to solve, and a limited amount of time to escape. Escape room challenges are a fun team building exercise and especially encourage creative thinking. Here are six of Brisbane's best escape room challenges.
Exitus Puzzle Room is located inside Strike Bowling, Wintergarden, where they have several themed escape rooms to choose from - Butcher's Burrow, Forensic and The Garden. Can you get out before you are trapped forever? This is an excellent venue for special events, such as birthdays (over 15s only).
There are six escape rooms in which to test your detective skills at Escape Hunt - Treachery at the Race Track, Murder in the Barbershop and Bomb at Government House (hard). Each one varies in difficulty and is guaranteed to stretch your powers of concentration.
There are five adrenalin-pumping escape rooms with inter-connecting themes at Puzzled Room Escape. Begin with Puzzle Tech Murder, then move on to Haunted Academy (difficult), Dr Irov's Laboratory, Monkey Run and Battle Mode Engaged (new).
There are several themes at Solve and Unlock, including Lab Rat, Missing Missy and Missile Meltdown. Each one has been cleverly designed to push the teams' problem-solving boundaries in unique ways.
First introduced in Japan in 2010, since then the escape room concept has rapidly swept across the world. There are plenty of different escape room themes to choose from across Brisbane. Just be sure to book ahead. Have you escaped yet? Did you have fun?
