The southern Shoalhaven district of New South Wales is hosting a sixteen day celebration of artistic talent. The Escape Artfest showcases artists from all media with more than forty amazing venues and events throughout the 16 day Festival.

Throughout the Festival there will be many exhibitions, markets, gallery walks, workshops and artist talks and of course the beautiful coast being the backdrop of it all!

There are many genres of art at the Festival ranging from art, music, literature, photography and much more.

There are many things to do at the Festival, from all artsy things from playing the piano, to seeing a door way and walking thru it, see a bike on top of a tree... scratch your head, see a smile... take it and pass it on... it is all about having fun and embracing the culture of art!

The event covers days and nights of artistic bliss in the Milton Ulladulla District, so be sure to mark your calendar for two weeks of creative inspiration...

For a little history about the event it all began around 15 years ago with the Tabula Rasa Contemporary Arts Festival under the umbrella of the local business chamber.

The event was originally staged during winter months with the aim of showcasing local artists of all genres, however, a series of circumstances made it essential to form a new organisation and rename the festival and today it is known as the Escape Artfest and each year the festival holds an annual theme... This year's theme is EDGE!

Be sure to try and experience all the events at the festival such as the music, literature, sculpture, photography events, gourmet markets and fairs, workshops as well as Artist talks, Art Trails, Youth Art and many more...
