Restaurant Food at Cafe Prices

As the website says, it's the enjoyment of restaurant food at café prices. We stumbled upon this gem in the old fruit market building, just strolling down Rundle St.

The menu offers café fare - Hearty burgers and yiros, but the lamb is cooked to order, and is juicy and delicious. There was also a chicken yiros that our son demolished enthusiastically.

We completed the meals with a delightful beetroot salad with walnuts, rockets and chickpeas and a greek salad with traditionally made Horiatiki salata.

It is a filling meal, and the kids were very taken with the 'steak chips', which came with the meals.

Leaving not a crumb, there was unfortunately no room for dessert, but we took our time to finish our Greek beers in the relaxed ambiance of the refined room.

Eros also has a range of the meze sharing plates, as well as seafood, vegetarian options and more sophisticated meals. The menus differ for lunch and dinner, with dinner offering more formal fare.

Eros is the God of Love, and if you have a love of food, then this charming café/restaurant is well worth a visit.
