EQUITANA is an event that celebrates all things Equine; shopping, competition, exhibition - and tickets are flying out the door. Get yours here for this event that runs from 14-17 November 2024 from 9am to 6.30pm at Melbourne Showgrounds, Ascot Vale. Tickets are sold for single day entry only; valid for 1 event entry only on any day. It's $55 for general admission adults and the same goes for children, 5 to 14 years of age. Children under 5 are free for 'GA' ticket types only. For the Sunday only, the children's (age 5-14) ticket price is halved at $25 for the family day. Do note that 'Masterclass and Night Show' is only available with a super ticket or day ticket. The Sunday family program is going to be a family-friendly day of activities that'll keep all ages entertained throughout the day. You have the Tom Curtain Family Show with horses, singing, working dogs and yes, goats! Meet Joe Gardiner's Mexican donkeys Taco and Belle and see Mini Horse Panko driving in his sidecar. The Victorian Mounted Police will be there for meet and greets, as will 15 breeds of horses in the Horsey People Breed Village you can meet and touch. Play and dress up mini ponies with KIDS Foundation, and win prizes in the scavenger hunt. This is just the tip of the iceberg. This event holds Australia's largest equine marketplace featuring over 300 brands; then there's 67 hours of competition taken up by 34 different events; the biggest education program ever with 160 sessions delivered by 80 different educators; world-class equine entertainment ; plus the best names in equestrian including Tim Price (NZ), Will Rogers (AUS/GER), The Double Dans (AUS/USA), Warwick Schiller (AUS/USA), Brett Parbery (AUS) and Tom Curtin (AUS). On getting to the event , the tip is to take the train as parking at EQUITANA is very limited, and there'll be less parking than they have had previously. There's free public transport with all EQUITANA tickets - with free PT in Zones 1 and 2 valid for the day/s of your ticket.
