Tucked away by the riverside
Some of life's best things are hard to come across. With the café and food scene booming in the last couple of years, it is sometimes difficult to find a dining spot a little bit away from the track, or the people, or the city buzz, so you may be wondering, where is Adelaide's best secluded eatery?

Best hidden spot

Although Entropy is only a short 5 minutes from the city centre, it feels like you are miles away from anything. Perhaps it's the fact of being surrounded by luscious nature and overlooking the Torrens River, or that little air of nostalgia coming from the repurposed train shed it lives in, maybe it's their unique dishes inspired by local produce. Whatever it is, Entropy will transport you miles away.

The food at Entropy is more of a talent show. Their menu is inspired by local and seasonal produce and the presentation is a feast to the eyes. Everything is wholesome, big and well thought of. You can tell the food here comes from the heart of not one chef, but many people involved in the growing and making of food. It is full of character.

Hearty breakfasts

Mornings here extend to the entire day, with their all day breakfast menu. Coffee is of course local by Cirelli Coffee Roasting, and tea drinkers will be happy to know they serve Hyge Organics and The Tea Catcher loose teas.

Local coffee

The love for local goodies extends to the alcoholic drinks menu with beers by Pirate Life and Prancing Pony, apple and pear ciders by Barossa Cider Co, and of course wine from all over SA, Robe to Barossa, McLaren Vale to the Adelaide Hills. This is an all inclusive place to experience, taste and see the fruits of this land.

Next time you are looking for an all over heart warming place to wine, dine or enjoy a coffee, head to 37 Little Queen Street in Thebarton and follow the signs through the UNI SA buildings. It may take a little bit of patience to find it, but once you're there you will taste the rewards.
