Entice Food and Wine is a bright and breezy breakfast (and lunch) café jewel set in the crown of the Mooloolaba Esplanade. Featuring a mouth-watering breakfast menu and eye catching lunch menu, Entice is surely named after its tempting menu of hearty breakfast favourites (if not the display cabinet full of seductive cakes and slices).

The café is situated in the busy strip of shops along the Mooloolaba Esplanade that features cafés, beach fashion, jewellery shops and upmarket real estate offices.

When we arrived, Entice was buzzing with the late morning brunch crowd. We grabbed a table and ordered cappuccinos and flat whites while we perused the alluring breakfast menu. The barista and wait staff were adorned with trendy hats that elicited parallels with debonair heroes and chic runway models. Even to the less romantically inclined, the hats were a prominent proclamation of professionalism.

I was seduced by the sumptuous "The Paddock": Bacon, eggs, hash brown, pork sausage, mushrooms atop a sourdough foundation. I loved the runny-centred fried eggs and the hash brown, bacon and pork sausage were a superb accompaniment to golden yolk eggs. My wife ordered the Eggs Benedict. She complemented the hollandaise sauce and the flawless eggs. This was high praise indeed from my better half who absolutely adores a great eggs benny breakfast.

Breakfast was indeed enticing and we're tempted to become regulars there. Our breakfast bill for two (including coffees) at Entice Food and Wine was just over $50.
