As a TAFE student back in 1999 studying a Diploma of Marketing, we had a year long assignment which was to conduct market research and write a marketing plan for a real business then publish and formally present it.
We had to raise funds to pay for everything. We looked for sponsorship, held fund raising events and sold Entertainment Books. For every 20 books we sold we got one free plus $10 for each book sold. I don't sell them anymore, but I purchase one every year.
They now sell for $65 each and I estimate mine has paid for itself with in a week. So what is an Entertainment Book?
The book, and I call it 'the good book' offers discounts on all kinds of stuff. Discounts range from 'buy one get one free', 25%, 30% to 50% off. It has vouchers for just about anything you can think of. Examples include:-

In short, if you go out at least once a year you could save yourself some money and donate to charity at the same time. Entertainment Book sales raise over $5,000,000 annually to benefit thousands of non-profit and charitable organisations.
They can be hard to find but look them at local charities like Cancer Council shops, Police Boys Clubs, also many local schools and anywhere that fund raises.
One last thing, they are broken down geographically so you can get one that offers the most value in your local area.
