Their music ranges from late medieval to modern age pieces and these young men attach great importance to the works of German romantic composers such as Schubert, Schumann and Mendelssohn Bartholdy and their extensive repertoire of church music. It's also not unusual for them to collaborate with other musicians.
Upon receiving a grant from the German Music Council in 2014, they were officially recognised as young professional musicians by the Federal Selection of Concerts for Young Artists in the same year. Winning 1st prize at the German National Choir Competition as well in 2014 was the icing on the cake.
Extracts of their concerts have been broadcast in other countries and they have performed concerts in Germany, as well as New Zealand, Australia, Switzerland, France and the Netherlands. Next stop, the world! You can follow these young musicians on their Facebook page and they currently have an event page up for one of their concerts here in Melbourne at the German Lutheran Trinity Church. Find their tour dates below and to buy tickets, or you can go through the Goethe Institut who also run other events and German classes. The Goethe Institut is home of the Audi Festival of German Films, which they present. Check them out.
